Grape(s): Pinot Noir
Localization: Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
Tasting Notes: Red cherry, cranberry and rose petal with a dusting of cinnamon and forest floor. Light to medium-bodied, silky and lifted, with bright acidity and fine tannins carrying a long, savory finish.
The Domain: Walter Scott was founded in 2008 by Ken Pahlow and Erica Landon and works with fruit from the Eola-Amity Hills, where they farm several estate vineyards organically. Whole-cluster fermentation and native yeasts give the wines their stemmy spice and fine-boned texture. La Combe Verte is the entry-level range from younger vines and declassified lots.
