Alcohol: 14 %
Grape(s): Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile)
Location: Montepulciano, Tuscany, Italy
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby with garnet edges. The nose is intense and layered, with violet, morello cherry, ripe plum and red berries, then leather and sweet spice. Dry and velvety on the palate, sapid and balanced, with a long, vibrant finish.
Notes: The Riserva is the estate's selection from its best Sangiovese parcels and spends at least three years aging before release, part of it in oak, which gives the extra depth and polish that separates it from the annata.
Food Pairing: Braised beef, wild boar ragù, roast game birds, aged Pecorino and Tuscan cured meats.
Winery Story: Tenuta di Gracciano della Seta is one of the historic estates of Montepulciano, working Sangiovese, known here as Prugnolo Gentile, on the clay and tufo hills just below the town.
