Winery Story: Southwest Mountains Vineyards is set in the Virginia foothills near Keswick, within the Monticello AVA. The estate was first planted in 2016 and began making its own wines with the 2019 vintage, with about 72 acres under vine across the Castalia, Ben Cooley and Bramblewood sites. The farm is part of the historic Castalia land grant, and the winery's fox emblem nods to the local Keswick Hunt Club.
