Alcohol: 13.5 %

Grape(s): Sangiovese, with small additions of Canaiolo and Merlot

Location: Chianti Classico, Tuscany, Italy

Tasting Notes: Bright ruby red. The nose is floral and saline, with cherry blossom, wet slate, crushed rocks, tea leaf and orange peel over wild red berries. The palate opens on cherries and dark berry fruit, savory and full-bodied with well-structured tannins and a fresh, mineral finish.

Notes: Sourced from the estate's vineyards around Castellina in Chianti; fermented in stainless steel and aged in a mix of Slavonian oak casks and smaller barrels to keep the fruit in focus.

Food Pairing: A classic table companion for tomato-based pasta dishes, roasted meats, lamb, and aged pecorino.

Winery Story: Rocca delle Macìe was founded in 1974 by Italo Zingarelli in Castellina in Chianti and remains family-run today. The Famiglia Zingarelli bottling is the estate's benchmark Chianti Classico, drawn from its oldest holdings in the heart of the denomination.
