Alcohol: 13.5 %

Grape(s): Pinot Noir

Location: Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia

Tasting Notes: Ruby red in the glass. Coastal and briny on the nose with tapenade, black cherry, anise and bay leaf; the palate mirrors that freshness with bright cherry and raspberry, a medium body, plush fruit and firm but silky tannins.

Notes: A dark-fruited, savory Pinot Noir made from estate-grown fruit, fermented with 100% wild yeasts and raised with minimal handling.

Food Pairing: Roast duck, mushroom risotto, seared salmon, charcuterie.

Winery Story: Moorooduc Estate was founded in 1983 by Richard and Jenny McIntyre on the Mornington Peninsula south of Melbourne and is run today with their daughter Kate McIntyre. One of the region's benchmark family estates, it is known for wild-yeast Pinot Noir that speaks clearly of its cool maritime home.
