Alcohol: 13%

Grape(s): 100% Pinot Noir

Location: Sancerre AOC, Loire Valley, France

Tasting Notes: Pale pink color; expressive aromas of vineyard peach, citrus, orange zest, red berries, and a subtle touch of white pepper; crisp and juicy on the palate with refreshing acidity, delicate red fruit, citrus lift, and a clean mineral finish.

Notes: Made from Pinot Noir grown on a blend of Oxfordian “caillottes” limestone and Kimmeridgian marl soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, then directly pressed and cold-settled. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks for 15 to 20 days, followed by 6 months of aging on lees, mostly in tank with a smaller portion in large oak barrels, giving the wine texture while preserving freshness.

Food pairing: Pairs beautifully with seafood, grilled prawns, salmon, fresh goat cheese, young cheeses, summer salads, charcuterie, and light poultry dishes.

Winery Story: Domaine Lucien Crochet is based in Bué, one of the historic villages of Sancerre, and is recognized for producing precise, terroir-driven wines from both Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. The estate works with classic Sancerre soils, including limestone-rich caillottes and Kimmeridgian marls, giving its wines freshness, minerality, and structure. The Sancerre Rosé reflects the domaine’s careful approach: hand-harvested Pinot Noir, gentle pressing, controlled fermentation, and lees aging to create a rosé with elegance, texture, and the distinctive mineral character of Sancerre.
