Alcohol: 13%
Grape(s): Pinot Noir
Location: Dundee Hills A.V.A., Oregon, USA
Tasting Notes: Medium-cool red with deep pink and blue undertones and brilliant transparency. Fresh, concentrated strawberry and subtle spice on the nose, followed by raspberries and a pleasing sappiness that enhances the red-berry character without excess fruit or weight. Balanced with refined texture and a long finish.
Notes: Aged in neutral Burgundy barrels (228 L) made from French forests.
The Domain: Kelley Fox Wines was founded in 2007 by Kelley Fox and her father, Gerson "Gus" Stearns. Production grew from just over 100 cases in the first vintage to roughly 5,000 cases annually, sourcing fruit from sites including Maresh, Hyland (1988 Coury clone), Freedom Hill, Weber (1983 & 1988 Pinot), Durant, Dux, Carter (1982 old vine), and Canary Hill. Kelley has been a full-time Oregon Pinot noir winemaker since 2000, trained in-region under influential figures such as David Lett, and has vinified at Torii Mor, Hamacher, Eyrie, and Scott Paul Wines before focusing exclusively on her own label.
