Tasting Notes: A classic, structured Stellenbosch Merlot with ripe red and dark fruit, dried herbs and savory spice, fine tannins and fresh acidity carrying a long dry finish.
Notes: Grown, produced and bottled at Keermont, from estate vineyards on the slopes of the Helderberg and Stellenbosch mountains. Small batches are picked by hand according to ripeness and vinified separately in open top fermenters with minimal intervention, then matured in seasoned French oak barrels before being bottled by hand.
Food Pairing: Red meat, roast lamb, pasta and pizza.
Winery Story: The Wraith family moved to the Western Cape in 2001 and in 2003 bought two adjacent farms that became Keermont Vineyards. A tight-knit team of around 15 people works every step from the vines to the bottle, in a naturally formed amphitheatre between the Helderberg and Stellenbosch mountain ranges.
