Grape(s): 100% Pinot Noir
Location: Koosah Vineyard, Eola-Amity Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
Tasting Notes: Dark cherry and black raspberry with violet, dried herb and a firm mineral spine. Supple tannins and juicy acidity carry a long, savory finish.
Notes: Koosah is a high-elevation site in the Eola-Amity Hills, where shallow soils and a cool, windy afternoon influence give small berries and concentrated fruit. Hand-harvested and aged in French oak.
Food Pairing: Roast duck, lamb, braised short ribs, wild mushroom dishes and aged hard cheeses.
Winery Story: Granville Wine Co. is an Oregon producer working in the Willamette Valley, making vineyard-designate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that aim to show the character of individual sites rather than a house style.
