Winery Story

A new breath in the Jura

A young estate driven by passion

Domaine La Grapp' A is a brand new Jura estate, run with passion by Aurélie Parla and Julien Maublanc. Based in Abergement-le-Grand, the 2021 vintage marks the start of their journey, with a remarkable first vintage.

An immediate commitment to living soils

Domaine La Grapp' A immediately opted for an environmentally-friendly approach, adopting organic and biodynamicfarming on almost 5 hectares of vines. Their plots are home to a treasure trove of grape varieties, including Pinot Fin, old massales of Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau and Ploussard.

Gentle and artisanal viticulture

Natural grass cover reigns supreme, ruling out any use of chemical weedkillers, while the vines are treated with Bordeaux mixture or herbal decoctions, in harmony with nature. The harvest is a sacred moment at Domaine La Grapp'A, where the selection of grapes for vinification is carried out with meticulous care, all in the family.

A winemaking process in constant experimentation

The winemaking process begins with cold maceration, without the addition of sulphur, to enrich the colour of the grapes before fermentation. Fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts, under the watchful eye of the famous Fanfan Ganevat. This promising young estate is experimenting with many different winemaking techniques and ageing methods.
