Alcohol: 13.5 %

Grape(s): Chardonnay

Location: Chassagne-Montrachet, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France

Tasting Notes: Brilliant pale gold. A joyful ode to Burgundian finesse: white peach, fresh hazelnut and golden brioche on the nose, with a whisper of citrus blossom. On the palate it is a dance of textures — generous yet precise, delicately oaked — with ripe stone fruit and a stony, saline minerality that extends into a long, mouthwatering finish. Ready to drink now, with the polish to keep beautifully for 3-5 years.

Notes: 100% Chardonnay from village-level parcels on Chassagne-Montrachet’s limestone and clay slopes at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune — terroir famous for whites of both richness and cut. Fermented and barrel-aged with a light hand, so the fruit and mineral spine stay front and center. The 2024 vintage gave classic, precise whites with vibrant acidity across Burgundy.

Food Pairing: Perfect with roasted monkfish in lemon butter, seared scallops, roast chicken with herbs, and aged Comté.

Winery Story: Domaine Bertrand Bachelet is a small family domaine whose careful, low-intervention winemaking has made its Chassagne-Montrachet one of the appellation’s quiet overachievers — the kind of well-kept secret Burgundy lovers hunt for. Its 1er Cru Morgeot bottling has drawn 95-point praise, and the village wine carries the same finesse in a more approachable register.
