Tasting Notes: Rich and nicely detailed, boasting roasted fig, raspberry ganache, melted licorice, and espresso, with a streak of iron racing through the finish. Ripe and distinctive, showing a mouthwatering edge, medium to full-bodied and lush in texture.
Notes: In 1955, Georges Reynaud planted vines on a gentle slope along the Isère River in the southern sector of Crozes-Hermitage. Domaine Les Bruyères is located in Beaumont-Monteux, one of the appellation's eleven communes. David Reynaud, Georges' grandson, took over the domaine, built a modern winemaking facility for the 2003 crush, converted to organic farming, and later adopted biodynamic practices (Biodyvin certified 2005).
Food Pairing: Grilled or roasted red meats, game, and hard aged cheeses.
Winery Story: David Reynaud produces a small number of limited-quantity red Crozes-Hermitage cuvées from Domaine Les Bruyères, among the most sought-after wines in the appellation.
