Grape(s): Arneis
Location: Langhe, Piedmont, Italy
Tasting Notes: Pale straw yellow. A fragrant nose of white peach, acacia blossom, chamomile and melon with a faint almond note. Light to medium-bodied and silky on the palate, with bright acidity and a fresh, gently bitter almond finish.
Notes: Sourced from estate vineyards in the Langhe around La Morra, and made to be drunk young. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to protect the grape's aromatics, then held briefly on the fine lees before bottling.
Food Pairing: Excellent as an aperitif, and with seafood, grilled white fish, risotto and fresh goat cheese.
Winery Story: Cordero di Montezemolo is one of the historic families of Barolo, farming the Monfalletto estate in La Morra since 1340. The Cordero family has run it since 1914, and today the estate is known for traditionally styled Barolo alongside a small range of fresh Langhe whites and reds.
