Alcohol: 16.9 %

Grape(s): Brachetto

Location: Asti, Piedmont, Italy

Tasting Notes: Pale ruby-pink, with lifted aromas of rose petal, wild strawberry and bitter orange peel. The palate is softly bittersweet: red fruit first, then gentian and warm spice, closing on a clean quinine bite that keeps you coming back for the next sip.

Notes: Built on a Brachetto wine base infused with rose petals, ginger, citrus peel and gentian, then lightly sweetened. The house calls the style an aperitivo americano: wine first, bitters second, sweetness last.

Food Pairing: Serve well chilled over ice before dinner, lengthen with prosecco for a rose spritz, or pair with salty charcuterie, marinated olives and anything fried.

Winery Story: Giulio Cocchi founded the house in Asti in 1891 and it has specialised in aromatized wines and vermouth ever since, working from Piedmontese grapes and a small cellar in the old town.
