Alcohol: 13 %
Grape(s): 95% Malbec, 5% Tannat
Location: Cahors, Southwest France
Tasting Notes: Deep purple with an amethyst rim. Plum, cherry and blackberry fruit with cool black tea notes. Medium-bodied, mineral and fruit-driven, with moderate acidity and silken tannins.
Notes: Fruit-driven but never over-extracted, from the heavy soils along the Lot River, made with minimal sulfur. Can be drunk young or aged.
Food Pairing: Grilled meats, duck confit, cassoulet and hard cheeses.
Winery Story: Clos Siguier is a family estate in Cahors, making lighter, lower-alcohol expressions of Malbec with a hands-off approach.
