Alcohol: 14%
Grape(s): Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault
Location: Tavel, Rhone Valley, France
Tasting Notes: Brilliant coral color. Ripe raspberry and strawberry with fresh pepper and garrigue spice. Bright and vibrant on the palate, with a zingy core of clean acidity and a long, dry finish.
Notes: Tavel is the only appellation in the Rhone dedicated entirely to rose. Aqueria is the largest estate in Tavel with about 160 acres of vines on sandy and pebbly soils, producing a structured, food friendly rose well beyond the typical pink wine.
Food Pairing: Grilled sausages, paella, roast chicken, charcuterie and spiced dishes. Serve well chilled.
Winery Story: Chateau d'Aqueria has been making wine in Tavel since the 18th century and is a benchmark for the appellation, known for deeply colored, age-worthy roses.
