Alcohol: 12 %
Grape(s): Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir
Location: Champagne AOC, Champagne, France
Tasting Notes: Radiant salmon-pink color with graceful effervescence, a persistent mousse and fine bubbles. Subtle, fine aromas lead to expressive red berry flavors with citrus zest. Creamy and smooth on the palate, evolving to strawberry and a raspberry finish. Light, balanced and precise.
Notes: A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, with the red wine vinified separately and blended in for color and fruit. This is the 375ml half bottle of Billecart-Salmon's Brut Rose, a size that suits a toast for two or a small celebration.
Food Pairing: Fine charcuterie, sushi, grilled salmon, langoustine carpaccio and lightly sweetened red berry desserts.
Winery Story: Founded in 1818 in Mareuil-sur-Ay, Champagne Billecart-Salmon is still family owned. The house is known for slow, cool fermentation and for its Brut Rose, one of the benchmark rose Champagnes.
