Alcohol: 12.5 %
Grape(s): 100 % Catarratto
Location: Sicily, Italy (Alcamo/Trapani area)
Tasting Notes: Pale straw with green reflections. The nose shows lemon zest, green apple, white flowers and almond blossom with a hint of sea breeze minerality. On the palate it is bright and lively with crunchy citrus and pear, a silky mid-palate from lees contact, and a clean, slightly saline finish.
Notes: Castellucci Miano "Miano" Catarratto is produced from hand-harvested Catarratto vines, vinified to preserve freshness—cool stainless-steel fermentation with short lees aging for texture. Winemaking aims for a pure expression of the local varietal and terroir.
Food Pairing: Ideal with grilled seafood, fritto misto, light pasta dishes, salads, and fresh cheeses like ricotta or young pecorino.
Winery Story: Castellucci Miano is a small Sicilian estate dedicated to reviving native grape varieties through attentive vineyard work and low-intervention cellar practices, crafting wines that reflect the island’s coastal soils and Mediterranean climate.
