Alcohol: 12.5 %
Grape(s): Alvarinho
Location: Vinho Verde, Minho, Portugal
Tasting Notes: Bright lemon-straw. Intensely aromatic — exuberant notes of tropical fruit, ripe citrus and white flowers, classic Alvarinho from Portugal’s cool green north. Fresh and lively on the palate: passion fruit and lime over a mineral spine, with more body and texture than everyday Vinho Verde, finishing long, dry and saline-crisp. A serious step up in the category; enjoy young and well-chilled over the next 2-3 years.
Notes: 100% Alvarinho, the noble grape of the Minho’s granite soils near the Spanish border. Cool Atlantic-influenced vineyards, gentle pressing and cool fermentation in steel keep the aromatics pure and the finish dry. The 2023 vintage gave fresh, vibrant whites across the region.
Food Pairing: Perfect with grilled sardines, seafood, shellfish, sushi, salads, and fresh goat cheese.
