The Domain: Bodegas Añadas, known by its brand name CARE, is a Spanish winery rooted in both tradition and innovation. The name “Care” harks back to the Roman name for the city of Cariñena—Caraellana, meaning “La Querida Llanura” or “The Beloved Plain”—and also plays on the English word “care,” reflecting the winery’s deep respect for the land and its vines.
Founded by the Díaz and Lázaro families, the winery launched its first wine, CARE Finca Bancales 2001, in September 2003, crafted from old Grenache vineyards. Since then, Bodegas Añadas has expanded its range to include expressive whites and rosés, all with a strong emphasis on quality and artistry.
What sets them apart is their fusion of traditional viticulture with a contemporary aesthetic. Their labels feature original artwork by Enrique Torrijos, turning each bottle into a canvas. The winery is also socially conscious—one of their rosés supports AMAC-GEMA, an association for women affected by breast and gynecological cancer
