Alcohol: 13.5 %

Grape(s): Cabernet Sauvignon

Location: Mendocino County, North Coast, California, USA

Tasting Notes: Deep ruby. Aromatic and inviting: bright red fruit and cinnamon lead the way, giving way to plum, black currant, dark cherry and a whisper of tobacco. The palate is supple and ripe — spicy cedar and black cherry layered with mocha, fig and allspice over subtle, well-folded oak. Medium-to-full bodied with a plush, easygoing tannin frame and a warm, generous finish. A classic crowd-pleasing Cab — bold without heaviness — drinking well now through the next 3-4 years.

Notes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from estate and partner vineyards in Mendocino County’s warm inland valleys, where long sunny days and cool nights ripen Cabernet fully while retaining freshness. Fermented and aged with a light hand — a touch of oak for spice and structure, never to mask the fruit. The 2020 vintage gave ripe, concentrated reds across the North Coast.

Food Pairing: Excellent with grilled steak and burgers, beef brisket, venison, barbecue, and hard aged cheeses.

Winery Story: Bliss Family Vineyards is crafted by Brutocao Cellars of Hopland, one of Mendocino County’s pioneering family wine estates, farming the region’s sun-drenched inland valleys for over four decades. The Bliss bottlings capture that heritage in an honest, everyday register — polished, fruit-forward Mendocino Cabernet built for the weeknight table.
