Alcohol: 12.5%
Grape(s): Pinot Noir with Chardonnay
Location: Champagne, France
Tasting Notes: A pale salmon-pink rosé with a fine, persistent mousse. Red berries, wild strawberry and blood orange sit over chalky minerality and a savory, saline finish that is hallmark Bérêche.
Notes: Campania Remensis is the estate's rosé de saignée, drawn from old-vine Pinot Noir in the Marne valley and aged on the lees in bottle. Low dosage keeps the wine taut and mineral rather than fruity.
Food Pairing: Excellent as an aperitif, and with charcuterie, salmon, tuna tartare and soft-rind cheeses.
Winery Story: Bérêche & Fils is a small family estate in Ludes, in the Montagne de Reims, run by brothers Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche. Farming is organic, fermentations are slow and natural, and most wines are aged in barrel and under cork, giving the house its signature depth and saline energy.
