Tasting Notes: Fresh and ripe liqueur-like aromas are composed of notes of soft wood, black cherry, poached plum, and plenty of earth influence along with a mentholated top note. The sleek, delicious and vibrant middleweight flavors possess a subtle minerality that carries over to the compact, dusty and youthfully austere finale where a touch of warmth slowly emerges. Note that this is firm enough to make clear that this will need at least a few years of patience. This too is excellent.

Winery Story: Created in 1936, the Beaune appellation covers 420 hectares and includes 42 premier crus.

Red wines, primarily made from Pinot Noir, dominate production (85%), while white wines (15%) are made from Chardonnay.

The climats of Beaune, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, are characterized by distinct parcels resulting from a unique combination of soils and microclimates, offering exceptional diversity and quality.

The vineyards benefit from varied exposures, with slopes surrounding the town and altitudes ranging from 220 to 300 meters.

With its 7 hectares of premier crus, Albert Morot is a key estate in the Beaune appellation: Les Teurons, Les Bressandes, Les Marconnets, Les Grèves, Les Toussaints, Les Aigrots (red and white), Le Dessus des Marconnets.

A new chapter begins. The family group of Guillaume and Sophie Poitrinal acquires this historic estate, founded in 1820, driven by a desire to unite heritage and modernity.

Extensive modernization work is then undertaken, both in the winery and at the château, to optimize every stage of the winemaking process. All facilities are redesigned and equipped with high-performance equipment, enabling precise work that respects the terroirs and the grapes, essential to the production of great wines.

To lead this new era, the owners entrust the estate to renowned Rhône Valley winemaker Pierre-Jean Villa, bringing renewed energy while remaining faithful to the legacy shaped by previous generations.
