Alcohol: 13%

Grape(s): 100% Greco Bianco

Location: Cirò Marina, Cirò DOC, Calabria, Italy

Tasting Notes: Crystalline pale yellow with greenish reflections. An intense and persistent nose of tropical fruit, pear, white peach, and white flowers. On the palate, fresh and Mediterranean, with a pleasant marine note on the finish. Well-balanced acidity and a clean, refreshing texture make it an inviting and elegant white.

Notes: Mare Chiaro is a tribute to the Ionian Sea, which bathes the Greco Bianco vineyards of Cirò. The grapes are harvested in two distinct phases — early for freshness and aromatic lift, later for structure and depth — to capture both the wine’s vibrancy and its Mediterranean character. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with 4–6 months of aging in steel and bottle, without wood. The 13% alcohol level is well balanced, contributing to a sensation of lightness and finesse.

Food Pairing: Pairs magnificently with sushi, pasta, grilled fish, white meats, and seafood dishes. Serve at 10–12 °C in a wide white wine glass.

The estate is known for expressing the distinctive character of Greco Bianco, a native variety that gives Mare Chiaro its crystalline color, tropical fruit profile, and signature marine finish. Mare Chiaro represents the winery’s commitment to quality, tradition, and the authentic flavors of Calabria’s Ionian coast.
