Alcohol: 14%
Grape(s): 100% Chardonnay
Location: Saint-Veran, Burgundy, France
Tasting Notes: Gold in color, this Chardonnay opens with complex aromatic notes of white flowers, marmalade, and fresh hazelnut. The palate is round and rich, with stone fruit notes. The smooth texture is lifted by a long and vibrant finish.
Notes: After hand-harvesting, the grapes arrived at the winery, where they were gently pressed in a pneumatic press. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled, stainless-steel tanks. About half of the blend was aged in French oak barrels (20% new oak) for 10 months, and the rest was kept in stainless steel. The fine lees were stirred regularly to add texture to the palate.
Winery Story: At the Corsin Domain, there is more than a century of genuine passion for the white wines of Burgundy, which is present at each stage of the vinification, resulting in the production of wines belonging to the most famous Burgundy appellations. A traditional approach to harvest, the Domaine Corsin team follow the footsteps of their forefathers who observed the flower of the lily to fix the date of the grape harvest: the 100th day after flowering. Today, frequent inspections, methodical analyses, and data comparisons make it possible to determine the right day to begin the harvest.
For 15 days, manual cutters, carriers, and pressers carefully gather the golden bunches of grapes from the Chardonnay vines. The Corsin Domain produces 3 appellations of protected designation of origin (AOC) from just one grape variety (Chardonnay), of just one color (white), which share the same stamp of fine quality, body, and flavor. Taste and appreciate the Mâcon-Villages, the Saint-Véran and the Pouilly-Fuissé of the Corsin Domain!
