Alcohol: ~12 %

Grape(s): Merlot, Molette, Muscat

Location: Jura, France (Vin de France)

Tasting Notes: Pale ruby color; a light, juicy red with bright red-fruit character, a touch of muscat perfume, and a soft, easy-drinking finish.

Notes: An unusual négoce blend pairing Merlot with Jura's native Molette and aromatic Muscat; whole-cluster carbonic maceration, organic farming, minimal sulfur.

Food Pairing: Charcuterie boards, roast poultry, or lightly chilled for a picnic.

Winery Story: Domaine de l'Octavin is the project of Alice Bouvot, a former opera singer turned winemaker, in Arbois, Jura. Known for playful, low-intervention cuvées made from both her own vines and purchased fruit (négoce), her wines carry hand-drawn garden-gnome labels and a philosophy of minimal handling: native yeasts, little to no added sulfur, and unfined, unfiltered bottling.
