The Domain: Stonestreet Estate Vineyards is the story of a family’s vision to defy the limits of California wine growing. Jess Stonestreet Jackson and Barbara Banke established the estate in 1995; their son Christopher Jackson and his wife Ariel continue the legacy. Stonestreet is a large, multi-faceted mountain vineyard producing a distinctive collection of single-vineyard wines — powerful Cabernet Sauvignon, soulful Chardonnay, and electric Sauvignon Blanc.
The Jackson family steward a 5,500-acre mountain estate above the Alexander Valley in the Mayacamas Range, with elevations from 400 ft to 2,400 ft. The estate's geological diversity produces strong mineral character and, due to the challenges of farming at elevation, smaller, more concentrated berries.
Recognizing the estate's long-term potential, Jess Jackson said, “Stonestreet has the destiny to be one of the greatest vineyard sites of all time.” The second generation, Christopher and Ariel, continue to build on that legacy.
