Alcohol: 13% (carried from the 2023)
Grape(s): 100% Chardonnay
Localization: Fleys, Chablis, Burgundy, France
Tasting Notes: A tropical hint of ripeness on the nose fleetingly evokes passion fruit before lemony brightness takes over. The palate comes in with almost plump, rounded richness, suggesting Meyer lemon, and lemon smoothness persists on the clean, precise finish.
Food Pairing: Oysters, shellfish, sushi, or ham.
Notes: Alain Gautheron is the fifth generation to cultivate vines in Fleys, directly across from the 2-hectare 1er Cru Les Fourneaux vineyard. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel, the wine rests nine months on its lees. Tasting notes carried from the 2023 vintage.
