Alcohol: 12.5 %
Grape(s): 100 % Grüner Veltliner
Location: Ried Burgberg, Wachau DAC, Niederösterreich, Austria
Tasting Notes: Bright yellow-green in the glass. The nose shows juicy apple, subtle tropical fruit, and delicate herbal spice. On the palate it is textured and dry, with fine extract sweetness, lively acidity, and a gentle, savory finish.
Notes: Federspiel from the Burgberg site in the Wachau. The wine shows a classic Wachau style with balance and structure, and it is described as fruit-driven, spicy, and fresh. It has 2 g residual sugar, 5.2 g acidity, and a screw cap closure.
Food pairing: White asparagus, grilled river fish, schnitzel, roast chicken, or herb-forward vegetable dishes. Serve well chilled.
Winery Story:Weingut Lagler is a family winery in Spitz, in the Wachau, and this wine is a DAC-classified Grüner Veltliner from the Ried Burgberg vineyard. The Burgberg site and the Wachau’s steep terraced landscape are central to the region’s distinctive dry white wines, which emphasize freshness, structure, and spice.
