Tasting Notes: The small Neveu family estate is located in Chavignol, eastern Loire Valley, with excellent chalky vineyard sites including `les Langues Fins`. The clean, fresh and distinctly aromatic style comes from meticulous winemaking with stainless steel and temperature control. This single-vineyard Sancerre rosé has the added complexity of mineral flavours on a mid-weight, creamy-textured palate. A pale salmon-pink rosé, fresh with a delicate, perfumed bouquet, finishing dry, well-rounded, with exceptional poise.
The Domain: The Neveu family, viticulturist father and son, have been based in the heart of the Chavignol vineyards for generations, and today carry on the tradition of the great Sancerrois vignerons.
Valérie (André Neveu’s daughter), and her husband Thomas, now run the Domaine that extends to about 13 hectares of vines of AOC Sancerre red, white and rosé.
They harvest, vinify and sell everything themselves.
