Tasting Notes: The wine opens with an inviting nose of wild strawberry and raspberry layered with gentle spice and fragrant Provençal herbs. On the palate it shows a medium‑ to full‑bodied elegance, delivering pure, finely etched fruit supported by sweet, supple tannins and a beautifully balanced, elongated finish. While slightly less concentrated than some previous vintages, it remains highly complex and refined, offering a harmonious expression of Gigondas with impressive finesse.

Roasted Red Cabbage or Sweetbreads, Lamb Rogan Josh or Lamb Stifado, Milk Chocolate
Winery Story:
Named after an early Christian saint and protector of the poor, Domaine Saint Damien is a family-run estate in the heart of Vacqueyras, Southern Rhône.
The winery is known for:
-
Biodynamic farming practices that respect the land and vines
-
Old-vine Grenache and traditional Rhône blending techniques
-
A reputation for expressive, terroir-driven wines that rival neighboring Châteauneuf-du-Pape in quality, but offer exceptional value
The vineyards are situated near the Dentelles de Montmirail, a dramatic limestone ridge that cools the vines and lends finesse to the fruit. Vacqueyras earned its own AOC status in 1990, and Saint Damien has been a standout ever since.
